Sony Replaces “PES 2019” with “Detroit: Become Human”

Just as Sony’s monthly games for for PS+ subscribers were due to go live, they’ve announced that Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 has been pulled from the lineup to be replaced by Detroit: Become Human.

Detroit: Become Human

The game was developed by Quantic Dream, the studio behind Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls, and released in 2018.

In Detroit: Become Human, your dialogue choices and interactions will define the outcome of the game’s narrative. If you’ve played the controversial David Cage’s other aforementioned games, you’ll be familiar with this style of game.

There are quick time events and a branching story and if you’ve enjoyed similar games in the past, then this game is a great addition to the lineup. If you were looking forward to a summer of football, you’ll just have to go buy PES or FIFA now.

Personally, I wasn’t bothered that Sony had included PES 2019 in their lineup and I can only imagine they’ve pulled the football game following backlash.

What do you think of the new addition?
