The Indie Supporter Spotlight is back.
This is our regular article series where we follow the progress of wonderful devs who support us and show you the indie great games they’re making.
Let’s check out their projects and see what they’ve been up to.
The Cartesian Project
Last Shot Studios are one of the latest indie devs to join our growing family of supporters and they’ve got a pretty cool game that you’ll want to check out.
The Cartesian Project is their intense sci-fi first-person 3D platformer where you’ll control an agile mechanical walker known as The Sentinel as it traverses procedurally generated areas and challenges.
This project has evolved a lot since its inception over half a decade ago and is now starting to gain momentum both in terms of fan response and production.
They currently have an ongoing Kickstarter campaign looking for funding so make sure you check it out right now.
The team working on LEIF has certainly been quite busy during the last month, which is good as their project is planned to be pretty large in scope and ambition.
They’ve been putting a dark and dangerous “underground lava spider cave” with arachnids of all sizes. This means that they’ve been creating the artwork for the enemies, modelling them in 3D, and creating some key art to show them off.
To really set the mood, music is being composed for the area, too, and we look forward to hearing it when it’s finished.
Soul Passage, the Metroidvania we introduced you to last month also has some pretty big news as they’re shifting the game from 2D to 2.5D graphics.
While we imagine this change will be mainly visual and not affect gameplay too much, we’ll have more information for you when they finish their gameplay trailer, which is expected in the new year.
If you can’t wait that long, they also sent us this pretty awesome trailer that you might want to watch.
VanillaBeast: Ace in the Hole
The folks at Vanilla Gaming Company don’t have too many big updates for us at the moment as they’re busy working hard on various levels in the game including homages to Double Dragon, Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!, Punisher, and an opening level that with some big Casino Royale vibes.
They’re also working hard on a trailer that will be used as part of their marketing and their upcoming Kickstarter campaign.
Get your indie game in the spotlight
The Supporter Spotlight is one of the many ways we reward the devs who help us to keep Indie Bandits alive through generous donations and support.
Support thus far has been great so we’re planning to offer even more to both fans and devs as time goes on. In the meantime, if you’d like your game featured you can support us on Patreon for this and other perks or buy us a coffee/beer if you appreciate what we do to celebrate independent games.
