It’s now the second month since Sony stopped provided PS3 and PS Vita games with PS+ subscriptions and they’ve gone with two indie titles for their monthly games: The Surge and Conan: Exiles.
The Surge
The Surge is an action RPG that was developed by Deck13, an independent games studio based in Germany. We’ve heard the game described as “an entry-level Dark Souls game but with robots”. It sounds awesome and I can’t wait to get our grubby mitts on it during April.
It’s also available for the PC and Xbox One.

Conan: Exiles
This title was developed by Funcom, a Norwegian independent games studio, and takes place in the swords and sorcery world of Conan the Barbarian. This game can be played alone or multiplayer and will have you surviving, building, and fighting.
While I usually prefer sci-fi over classical or fantasy settings, I’m actually quite looking forward to this one as I’m a big fan of the survival genre regardless of where it takes place!

With no more PS Vita or PS3 games, I was expecting a little more from Sony than just two titles per month and I doubt this lineup will be making that many people rush to get a PS+ subscription for the monthly games.
That said, I personally think they’re a couple of interesting titles that will keep my attention more than the Call of Duty title we had last month (which I still haven’t even played yet).
